Richard J. Neuhaus on CSPAN2's "In Depth" - Sunday 12pm EST

A friend has alerted me to the fact that this weekend, on Sunday, June 5, at 12:00PM EST, CSPAN2's Book TV will host Richard John Neuhaus on In Depth. Father Neuhaus will appear live for three commercial free hours. Viewers may join the live discussion by emailing comments or questions in advance or calling in live. The show will be repeated at 12:00AM on Monday, June 6.

Father Neuhaus, a priest of the Archdiocese of New York, is the president of the Institute on Religion and Public Life and editor-in-chief of First Things: The Journal of Religion, Culture, and Public Life, the institute's monthly magazine. A former regular contributor to National Review, he writes and speaks regularly on a wide range of issues, including: the Catholic Church, morality in America, the war on terrorism, and secularism. His "Public Square" columns on such topics appear monthly in First Things. In 2005, Time magazine called Father Neuhaus one of the 25 most influential evangelicals in America.

His books include: Doing Well and Doing Good: The Challenge to the Christian Capitalist, Freedom for Ministry, The Naked Public Square: Religion and Democracy in America, Appointment in Rome: The Church in America Awakening, Death on a Friday Afternoon: Meditations on the Last Words of Jesus, and As I Lay Dying: Meditations Upon Returning.

Update: Amy Welborn is hosting discussion of the interview on her blog.
